Finance Mode

The Margin application is used to calculate Margin between sale and buy costs. It used different parameters for the calculations :

• Gross margin in % (GM)  The formula used to calculate GM is  :

(Selling Price VAT free - Cost Price Vat free) / Selling Price VAT free

• Selling price (SP) VAT in.

• Cost price (CP) VAT free.

• VAT in % (VAT %).

• Coefficient (Coef) :  coefficient you have to multiply the cost price with, to obtain the selling price.

• Markup (Markup%) : The formula of markup is  :

(Selling Price  VAT Free - Cost Price VAT Free)  /  Cost Price VAT Free

• Gross profit (GP). The formula of Gross Profit is :

Selling Price VAT Free - Cost Price VAT Free

You can enter the value directly using the appropriate keys or enter the 'Edit' key and fill the fields.

Example :

You buy an objet $ 12 and want to have a Gross Margin of 30 %. The Vat is % 14.How much would you ask for the objet ?

You enter the data and press the 'SP' button :

You have to sell it $ 19.54.
